I offer a supportive and impartial perspective to help therapists, trainees, and other healthcare professionals in identifying core conflicts—both conscious and unconscious—presented by the people they work with.
Drawing from a psychodynamic framework, I assist in discerning between explicit and implicit communications, recognizing transference dynamics and therapist countertransferences, irrespective of the therapeutic approach employed.
Acknowledging the evolving dynamic between supervisee and supervisor is integral to supervision. I cultivate a safe and nurturing environment where open dialogue is encouraged, fostering professional growth through collaborative learning. Discussions encompass all facets of therapy and therapeutic interactions, including thoughts, emotions, and challenges.
With experience in conducting both one-to-one and group supervision sessions, I offer flexible formats, including face-to-face and online modalities. Through my work as a psychotherapist in the UK’s National Health Service, I’ve provided supervision to colleagues from various disciplines, including occupational therapists, social work, clinical psychology and trainee medical psychotherapists.
Currently, I am one of the clinical supervisors for the students enrolled in the Doctor of Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Clinical Practice (DPPClinPrac) program at the University of Exeter.
